Sprint Filter is a manufacturer of performance air filters and special intakes since 1952. Founded in 1952, Sprint Filter has built a stellar reputation for crafting innovative air filters and intake systems that consistently deliver high performance.

Sprint Filter is one of the world’s longest-established manufacturers of performance air filters and intake systems.

For more than seven decades, the company has developed filtration solutions for motorcycles, cars, racing vehicles and demanding off-road applications. Every Sprint Filter product is the result of continuous research into airflow, filtration efficiency and advanced materials.

From the development of patented polyester filtering media to technical partnerships in MotoGP, WorldSBK, TCR and Super GT, Sprint Filter has always pursued the same objective:

Deliver more air, protect the engine and ensure consistent performance.

Today, Sprint Filter technologies are used in aftermarket applications, OEM production vehicles and some of the most competitive motorsport programs in the world.

More Than 70 Years of Innovation

  1. 1952

    The Beginning of Sprint Filter

    Sprint Filter was founded in 1952 with a clear mission: developing air filtration solutions capable of improving engine performance and reliability.

    Sprint filter first filters technology

    This marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to research, manufacturing and continuous technological evolution.

  2. 1995

    Performance Filters for the Automotive Market

    Sprint Filter expanded its expertise into the automotive sector, producing performance cotton air filters for road and competition vehicles.

    This period helped the company build extensive knowledge of filtering materials, airflow and engine intake systems.

  3. 2008

    A New Generation of Filtering Materials

    Sprint Filter began developing revolutionary water-resistant filtering technologies and advanced polyester media.

    This research would radically change the company’s approach to air filtration and lead to the creation of a new generation of dry performance filters.

  4. 2009

    The Polyester Revolution

    Sprint Filter made a defining technological decision: moving away from conventional cotton filtration and focusing on patented polyester air filters.

    The single-layer polyester membrane offered precisely calibrated openings, uniform filtration, superior airflow and significantly simpler maintenance.

    The P08 became the foundation of the modern Sprint Filter product range.

  5. 2012

    Entering professional motorcycle racing

    Sprint Filter became the official technical supplier for MV Agusta Corse’s aftermarket air filter range.

    This collaboration marked an important step in the company’s expansion into professional motorcycle racing and high-performance road applications.

  6. 2013

    Technology reaches Moto3 and Ducati

    Sprint Filter became a technical supplier to Mahindra Racing in Moto3 and continued developing innovative filtering materials for motorcycle applications.

    During the same period, the P08 was selected for prestigious Ducati models, including the Ducati 1199 Superleggera.

    The company’s technology was no longer limited to the aftermarket: it had entered OEM production.

  7. 2014

    A New manufacturing facility

    Production moved to a new manufacturing facility in Latvia.

    The new site enabled Sprint Filter to increase production capacity, improve manufacturing precision and invest further in research, testing and quality control.

    A dedicated Research & Development department was created with advanced equipment for material analysis and product validation.

  8. 2015

    The Partnership with Aprilia Racing

    Sprint Filter began its long-standing technical collaboration with Aprilia Racing across MotoGP and WorldSBK programs.

    The partnership became one of the most important relationships in the company’s history and demonstrated the reliability of Sprint Filter technologies under the most demanding racing conditions.

  9. 2017

    OEM Performance for Ducati

    The Sprint Filter P08 was factory-installed on exclusive Ducati models including the 1299 Superleggera and the 1299 Panigale R Final Edition.

    Ducati Performance also selected Sprint Filter products for performance kits combined with Akrapovič exhaust systems.

  10. 2018

    Expansion into International Touring Car Racing

    Sprint Filter became the technical supplier of air filtration and intake solutions for Honda Civic Type R vehicles competing in WTCR and national TCR championships.

    During the same year, Sprint Filter expanded its automotive aftermarket production, introducing thousands of replacement applications for vehicles worldwide.

  11. 2019

    New partnerships and new championships

    Sprint Filter strengthened its presence in international motorsport by becoming the sole technical supplier for Alfa Romeo Giulietta WTCR vehicles and the official supplier of MV Agusta Special Parts.

    Motorsport continued to function as both a testing ground and a source of technological development.

  12. 2020

    Official Sponsor of Honda Racing Corporation

    Sprint Filter became an official sponsor and technical supplier of Honda Racing Corporation.

    Sprint Filter air filters were used in MotoGP, while the company also supplied Energica for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup.

    This milestone consolidated Sprint Filter’s position among the leading air filtration specialists in global motorcycle racing.

  13. 2021

    A growing MotoGP presence

    Sprint Filter became an official sponsor of Pramac Racing Ducati MotoGP Team.

    The company’s technologies continued to be selected by teams competing at the highest level, where airflow consistency, reliability and engine protection are critical.

  14. 2025

    A New Chapter with VR46 and NISMO

    Sprint Filter signed a multi-year technical partnership with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, bringing its technology to the Ducati Factory Supported Team from Tavullia.

    In the same year, Sprint Filter became the exclusive air filter supplier for the number 23 Nissan Z GT500 operated by NISMO in Japan’s Super GT championship.

    These partnerships represent the continued international expansion of Sprint Filter across both two-wheel and four-wheel motorsport.

  15. 2026

    Original equipment for Ducati Panigale V4 range

    Sprint Filter and Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. have reached a strategic agreement to equip the entire Panigale V4 family - including Original Equipment, original spare parts, Ducati Performance and Ducati Corse catalogue - with Sprint Filter's P08 high-performance air filter.

    The Air Revolution Continues

    Today, Sprint Filter develops five dedicated filtration technologies for road, racing, demanding conditions and extreme off-road applications.

    The company works with leading manufacturers, racing teams and technical partners around the world while continuing to invest in advanced materials, production technologies and laboratory testing.
